As summer comes to an end and schools are reopening, many of us try to get in the rhythm. Summer is a great time to spend with family, get outdoors and overall relax. Here’s a confession - I have a hard time being still. It’s actually hard for me to slow down. I always feel like there is another accomplishment, another task to complete, or something else just to get done. This summer was unique because many of us are coming off the aftermath of the global pandemic and just overall isolation. Having some time to get away has been crucial. Although there was a lot of uncertainty, I’ve had some business success - financial planning practice is growing, acquired additional properties, and launched another business.
I tell my clients all the time how important it is not only to steward your finances and grow your wealth, but it’s equally important to invest in you! Invest in your mental, spiritual and physical health. Recently I had the opportunity to do that with an amazing trip to Montana.
Being outside, slowing down (minimal to no technology use), and just reflecting on gratitude for all my blessings. Each of us has so much to be thankful for, but the pace of life sometimes hurries us and makes us forget. So now and again, invest in yourself and just Rest. The Return on Investment (ROI) is something I would wholeheartedly recommend - in my professional opinion.
